GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

With how little Astoria High School is, I feel like they did a really solid job at getting us opportunities both in high school and out to help us succeed. I do feel like more could be done when it comes to bullying. Both teachers and administration could step in more often and stand up for the students being harassed. As well as do more to ensure that those students are safe. But other than that, I feel like AHS wasn't too bad of a school. Many of my teachers were amazing and always supportive of what I did and willing to help out, which really improved my experience there.

There is plenty of drills for fire, earthquakes and lock-ins.

The teachers are dedicated to helping the students learn. There are honors classes but no AP classes to take. The schedules don't always give you every class you want. Honors U.S. History, Human Anatomy, and Honors English classes are known for being the most difficult and instructive. Your schedule can be difficult if you make it that way or it can be fairly easy.

Go to Warrenton High School. It is a way better school that does things to stop bullying and people treat eachother with respect and generally get a higher level of education.
