The environment is disruptive. Most of the students are rambunctious and have no will to learn, but get carried to the next grade by the "No Student Left Behind" Rule.

It was a terrible experience and I had a Anxiety Attack every other day. The teachers were great, but the learning environment was not, I always felt sick inside and I fell behind in math and struggle the next year, I moved to a private school and I am still trying to catch up.

Overall I do love this schools, mostly because the teachers care so much and do a great job with teaching and having fun with their students. Although the administration could use work, I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a middle school in Clarke County.

Even though we had mixed reviews about HMS before our 6th grader began attending, we decided to give it a try because we were no longer homeschooling and had great feedback about the neighborhood we were moving to.
