Booker T. Washington High School is a public institution serving students in grades 9 through 12. Founded in 1924, the school was the first public secondary school in Atlanta for African Americans. Over the years, the school has continued to gain distinction, including being the alma mater of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Booker T. is noted as the first school to receive STEM certification within the Atlanta public school system. Attending Booker T Washington High School has had a profound impact on me by expanding my perspectives and challenging me to grow both academically and personally.Ive developed critical skills and discovered many new interest like joining dance . Although the school is in rough area in Atlanta , it is a challenge everyday not knowing what may happen.The guidance from teachers and counselors encourages me everyday to set higher goals for myself and to strive for excellence.I would love to see the change in the student behavior, we have a lot of students who doesn't see their potential and is blinded by community issues .

It's Good. I like the people and the staff. I like how some teachers can relate to other students. They are cool.

I love my time at Washington it was definitely a experience. I love how the teachers help people to get were they need to be. I won't change anything about it I love everything about it I'm glad to say I attended.
