Druid Hills High School is a public high school serving the Druid Hills neighborhood and surrounding area. With a mission to develop students into passionate and lifelong learners, the school is the recipient of several accolades, including a Georgia School of Excellence in Student Achievement award. Druid Hills High School is among the oldest in Dekalb County and was initially founded on the Emory University campus in 1914 – a testament to the historic neighborhood in which the school building is now situated. While Druid Hills High offers a rigorous curriculum, students can also participate in an array of extracurriculars, including the National Honor Society, Spanish club, Model U.N., environmental club and even more. Students can develop their athletic abilities by participating in football, baseball, soccer and lacrosse, to name a few. Red Devils who prefer to cheer on their fellow students proudly sport their red and black to show school spirit. Druid Hills High School offers Advanced Placement classes along with traditional high school courses. Based on students’ AP scores, the school is considered an AP Merit, AP Access and Support Achievement School. Additionally, the school offers an International Baccalaureate program. This rigorous curriculum helps students gain college credit before graduating high school while also giving them a global education that provides a greater understanding of the world around them and compassion for their fellow students. In doing so, Druid Hills High School strives to educate and equip the leaders of tomorrow.

I feel like the students are very open to be involved and they should include more big student events, like more pep rally's and recruiting more for sports and stuff

I've been at DHHS for 2 years, I'm an immigrant and people were always so good to me, they're always willing to help, I have no complaints about that. Teachers, the same thing (except for some of them) but overall they're all great persons and professionals.

It's overall a fine school. Not great, not horrible. Because its a historical site the main building can't be rebuilt so it has an ntense smell that isn't super nice but people are kind and the teachers are ok.

I recently graduated from DHHS. I saw a lot of teachers leave and new ones come through who were just okay. A lot of things go unseen at this school. There are kids doing drugs in the restroom making it hard for those of us who actually had to use it, causing long lines and other bathrooms to close...
