Lake Forest Elementary School, part of the Sandy Springs Central Learning Cluster, kickstarts learning in children in grades pre-K through 5, with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Home of the Lake Forest Lions, the school’s vision is for students to become productive citizens who are actively engaged, goal-oriented learners.
Opened in 2008, Lake Forest Elementary has been named an International Baccalaureate World School, National PTA School of Excellence, Solution Tree Model Professional Learning Community School, and Institute for Civic Leadership Model School. In addition, Lake Forest offers a Talented and Gifted (TAG) program for students who qualify and dual language programs for some grades, providing immersive experiences with classes in both English and Spanish. The school’s CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agriculture) program integrates technical and occupational skills to help prepare children for careers.
Students in the Lake Forest school cluster go on to attend Ridgeview Middle School and Riverwood High School. In this full International Baccalaureate school cluster, they experience the IB inquisitive learning program throughout their school career, preparing them for university programs and life.
