I love the community at my school. The teachers are mostly kind and understanding of students and want the student to succeed in their class. The school food is slowly improving, but I think it could taste a bit better. Overall I wouldn't have wanted to attend any other high school.

ELHS was a great school. The opening of the new school in 2024 helped a great deal. Administration and teachers are great. Rigor could be a bit better, with some higher standards needed to prepare students for college. Communication could also improve with families.

Very few teachers treat students with the level of respect they deserve. Music and arts programs are either ruined by poor teaching or lack of money and resources. Teachers and administration do little to nothing to truly protect students and have treated LGBT+ and other minority students incredibly poorly. There's no accountability for teachers or administration who say or do things that are inappropriate or just flat out wrong. Teachers who truly care are treated horribly by administration and often outright quit. School is outdated and unsafe. I'm glad I graduated and left this sad excuse of a high school.

Wonderful school in my opinion. Teachers are supportive and very very involved with students, and academics are good.

There are multiple opportunities to take college preparatory or AP classes, at least when I was still in school. There was also a college English class I took that was sponsored by Syracuse University. I do not think it is fair to have one-star reviews. It honestly depends on your own self-disciplin...

This school thoroughly prepares your student for college with a wealth of AP and honors classes. Teachers are what make these classes great.
