GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

From my experience as a freshman at Navarro I can say that it is a very good school and it has welcomed me with a big hug. I really love my teachers here. They support me, care about me, and want me to succeed in all areas of life. I've made some really good friendships here and of course I've met a lot of people I went to middle school with. If you find the right people, you'll have a great time, but if you don't, it might... not be as good as it could be. That's where the worst part of this school comes in: most of the students. Most of them never learned good manners or even general education. They are mean and disrespectful to teachers and careless about school. Many fights occur and the atmosphere can be described as unpleasant. Boys' restrooms often have to close due to... activities, and you may find yourself wandering around campus to get to an open bathroom. In conclusion, it is a really good school with a lot of potential, just full of the wrong people.

Navarro has given me the opportunity to explore careers at my request, it has given me a chance to make friends and find what I really want to do in the future.

Sports were fun. Classes weren't too challenging. I suggest you take the opportunity to take dual credit classes.

I used to go to Lanier earlier in the year for like 5 months and honestly after starting homeschool for the first time this year, I'd rather go back to Lanier, it was great there and some of the students, teachers, and counselors were nice. Even though there was one rude teacher. Overall at Lanier I...

I graduated from Lanier in 2013. While I enjoyed extracurricular activities at this school, the education I received was sub par in comparison to other high schools in Austin. A student could excel academically at Lanier and get automatic acceptance to a University in Texas because of the top 10% ru...
