GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Everything went fine at that school. I had good friends, and the school is small, so it's easy to get to know other people. Most of the teachers are nice to talk to and try their best to do their job. I know that some got replaced after I left, so I can't verify for them. I think that we definitely learned a lot while we were there. Overall, it wasn't perfect, but I has a better time there than I would a lot of other places.

Not diverse at all, very southern-like, racist students. Decent teachers, okay classes. It's got a decent music program and sports teams, small school with okay teachers and terrible students. I've been a student here since pre-k and I can't wait to get out of here next year.

I love how energetic a lot of the teachers are and how they are so involved at school outside of their own job. I would say a negative though about Avoca is that it is small so a lot of activities like clubs have gone away. It would be great if our school had more opportunities.

The Elementary School has excellent and very responsive teachers. The Principal is easy to talk with and looks out for the needs of each individual student. This district does a nice job of balancing requirements from the State with what is best for each student in the classroom

The classes are great, and the food is probably above average, but there is a lot of bullying, and most of the teachers just look the other way. When you go to the principal he does nothing. They say they have a strict bullying policy, but there is nothing done about it.
