With an impressive student-to-teacher ratio of 15-to-1 despite the campus accepting several hundred students annually, this pre-kindergarten to fifth grade public institution located in central Avondale Estates provides educational access to its residents. Besides the standardized Georgia curriculum, students can look forward to special programs including physical education, music, art, Spanish and technology. Further school activity is supported through the daily recess playground, STEM science lab and the outdoor garden classroom. Although competitive sports teams are not offered at Avondale Elementary School (AES), the school hosts numerous organizations including garden club, cool girls, elite gentlemen, coding club and robotics club. I regret enrolling my daughters here.Some of the teachers here seriously lack emotional awareness and proper communication with children who are still so young and impressionable. I don’t think they’re trained to handle sensitive kids and they clearly don’t know how to handle their own emotions. My...

My daughter has been studying in this school since first grade and I don't regret it a bit. All the teachers are very warm and friendly. They maintain a perfect balance between studies and fun. The school lunch and the system can improve a bit, but that is it. The teachers look out for all the child...

No transportation, no lunch provided, substandard education, no special education programs and/or services. All three of my children were unenrolled due to a complaint made about their fire alarms, fire extinguishers, etc not working, and all teachers having open flames in every classroom. #PowerUp

My daughter is still in this school....it has been three years now.....she is in third grade. I am overwhelmed by the friendly and caring attitude of the teachers towards each student. The way they take care of each child and communicate with the patent is very appreciable.
