My nephew went here and was publicly shamed and yelled at for something she didn't deserve. I expect better from teachers who have attended FSU.

I adore my school. We have a significant lack of resources, however. Our bathrooms are outdated, and we have some sort of infestation in the dance locker rooms. Our teachers and students also often have to pay out of pocket for our events due to lack of funding from the county.

It's a wonderful place to be. We get very little funding from the county despite being the #1 public school in the district, so our building is literally falling apart. That's not the fault of the school itself though, but the county really needs to treat this school better. DSA is a place where you can be a part of something, but the culture of always being involved in every show and every production is a lot of stress on you, though. It is absolutely worth it to be here though. I would not survive or thrive at my home school the way I can here.

My nephew was yelled at by one of the teachers in front of all the other students for something she couldn't control. I expect better from teachers who have attended Florida State University!

We have a great new principal (Dr. Jones) and the school is flourishing. We have great faculty (old and new) and the students are challenged and supported in their learning. I am so happy that I sent my child to DSA.

Deeply disappointed with this school and quality of education especially academic teachers. Administration is awful. Do your research and talk to parents and students before sending your kids here. Students are leaving in droves.

This really is a great school. To get in you have to audition and it's a stiff competition but once in you'll find that the teachers are great, the students are motivated and because of the small size of the school the kids are nice to each other. I think also that the nature of a performing arts sc...
