GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part is being a senior. The worst part is the school is racist. But my mom talks to me and let me know the importance of finishing school even with dealing with the racism.

Many things I experienced at this school before graduating in the early summer was okay nothing was ever the best but also never the worse. However there were some things that happened and was allowed which confused me. We had one student who threatened many other students they made horrible comments about ending people's lives and had a terrible attitude the school's response was what confused me they sent this student online for the rest of the year and decided the let them back on campus for the next school year without actual consequences putting students lives a risk when the student has made multiple different threats to others without consequences. This whole situation lead to a police investigation before the school stepped in and made the decision to send the student online.

I went to Baconton Community Charter School for three school terms. I honesty think that it was an average place to attend but I believe that is what I needed for these past three years. I needed a fresh new start at a new place after years of complete chaos. It provided me with a new chance to do better academically and socially. In this school, I met new teachers, peers, friends, etc. It might have not been what i wanted but it brought me amazing moments that I will forever cherish.

I agree the school is the best that Mitchell county has to offer but the staff is unbelievable. Most of them act like little snob nose high school girls. The vice principal is a joy. There is some work that could be done to make the so much better I think that some of the staff needs to get it toget...

Compared to the other schools Mitchell Co has to offer, the education is unbeatable; the other schools are sub-par in general, & Baconton is the best choice. However, that doesn't make up for the catty, gossipy, judgmental atmosphere that clings to teachers & staff. Kids/teens are synonymous with bu...

I too was an employee, and still have children at this once great school. I was impressed overall at the begining... now I am dissapointed in everything. Discipline has gone out the window, dress code is no longer enforced, elementary ed. standards have been dumbed down from exceeding the state stan...
