I have been attending Valley Oaks Charter school since I was in kindergarten and have enjoyed every single day the campus. I think the best moment for me was being able to sign up for Karate. I was so happy and I am still currently enrolled in my Martial Arts as a first degree black belt. I think the worst parts of my experience at Valley Oaks is probably the school food. The food is not the greatest but the staff and education is amazing and I definitely feel prepared for my after high school education.

I will have not rather gone to any other institution for high school. Valley Oaks is a wonderful school with lively, respectful, and kind students and teachers who are very helpful and pleasant. It is known for a heavy workload, but it trains each student for college. I am very thankful that I was able to attend Valley Oaks.

I like the ability to manage your own time and to some extent work at your own pace. Not being in class every day allows for flexibility in your schedule. The teachers are all very kind and are available and willing to help you. Only downside is there are no AP classes and no school sports. You can however take classes through Bakersfield College while attending there.

VOCS is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers. You can get certificates, go to BC, or have ROC whilst here. I personally have gone to 13 public schools and VOCS is currently #1.

I went here for my first 4 years of school starting in kindergarten and I only left because of family instability. It was amazing and truly spoiled me in terms of ever liking other schools.

This Charter school is outstanding. My daughters went there for two years and the teachers really helped equip me for home schooling. They not only take the time to go over every aspect of teaching the subjects but also demonstrate their willingness to help. The activities they provide for science,...

After our first year at Valley Oaks, we are in love! This has been such a wonderful transition from public school to homeschooling. My kids (elementary school) have made excellent friends, the field trip organization is great, the parent club does a wonderful job working to hold great events for the...
