GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Lack of Diversity, very conservative but probably moving towards slightly less. Poorer school system yes, however I found this lead me to way more opportunities than larger school systems could dream about. The teachers are able to form strong relationships with students and truly help them. Violence isn't a huge issue I faced here nor is is drugs it was pretty safe.

I really like Mitchell so far it has treated me very well as a student and has treated my family well as well. But there are some things like all schools that need to be fixed like the locker rooms, there really old and there falling apart and are grimy no matter how much you clean them and the paint jobs in the school is horrendous it really needs to be redone but with care and not carelessness like they've clearly done before.

At this school there is not a lot of classes offered, for example, the only foreign language offered at this school is Spanish. But, in the classes, it is easy to learn a lot and be successful.

The administration at this school does not get involved with teachers much and sides with students and parents. Some bullies are not punished appropriately. There is a lack of diversity here in the student body, and some minority students cope through keeping silent. There is a marked lack of divers...

This school is awful! It is so unorganized and teachers talk down to you...Most of the teachers even use bad language and they degrade the student.
