My experience at Mount De Sales Academy was generally pretty positive. At first, I struggled with being a minority student, and I found it frustrating that there was no Black Student Union, much like there is at most other schools in the area. However, at Mount De Sales, I feel I was very well prepared for college. I think that the course work was challenging and at times overwhelming, but I think that this is what has helped me to feel as well prepared for college as I do now.

The teachers so far have all been really nice and understanding. They all seem to love their hood and are good at it. The students are very kind and I have yet to encounter any sort of bullying amount peers. Students seem to be dedicated to their studies and extracurricular activities. There is a variety of clubs to choose from. The cafeteria food is AMAZING

Mount de Sales is an excellent academic program in a faithful Catholic environment. They strive to form the whole person. The teachers the school attracts are uplifting and care about the students as people.

The school has significant bullying issues. My daughter was subjected to brutal bullying and spent most of her lunchtime in the bathroom. The administration, including the Dominican nuns did nothing to help. I do not recommend this school for any young girl/woman.

My daughter is a current student at MDSA. The school is wonderful! There is so much tradition built into each day and each year. The academic curriculum is extremely rigorous. I'd give it 0 if I could. If you don't mind that they provide "opportunity" for your child earn service hours for walking to a nearby abortion facility to pray outside, then it is definitely the school for you.
