Bangor high school is a large highschool in Maine and it has about 1,200 students. There are lots of opportunities for clubs, sports, programs, etc. This is nice because the opportunities are much greater than opportunities for other nearby schools. The school is overall good.

Diversity is not something that is easily fixable. Education and learning is. While there are decent teachers, on the whole the staff is not the best. As far as college counseling. That was TERRIBLE. If it wasn't for my parents and older siblings, I'd be lost.

It's more so a you will get what you put in kind of school. Putting in effort at this school can get you into an Ivy League school, being an average student will get you into an average state school, etc, etc

I have a child who is currently a sophomore in BHS, and another child who graduated BHS in 2019. I graduated from BHS in 1987; their father in 1985. We are now both professionals. My mother was an English teacher at BHS for many years. For students who are reasonably motivated and responsible, Bango...

Moving to Bangor Maine was one of the worst mistakes we ever made. The school department is horrible. We had children in 3 different Bangor schools and we quickly realized that the administration was unimaginably bad. In particular, Principal Paul Butler from Bangor High School. He is arrogant, rude...

My experience as a student at Bangor High School was extremely poor. I was alone without support in a school that just doesn't care about the majority. They care about sports and smart kids. No child left behind... yeah right! If you're attending Bangor High School, it's like you're going to school...

This school is pathetic. My kids have been in schools all over the world, and this by far is the worst. The administrators in the school do not lead, and do not encourage creativity and original thought. My eleventh grade daughter is teaching the History teacher details about the American revolution...
