Overall, Barrington High School is a strong academic community with lots of options for fine arts, sports and extracurriculars. I enjoy participating in the fine arts community and Barrington as a whole has a good group of people. The teachers and admin are very kind and student centered; they want you to succeed. Barrington is a good community and a great school.

Barrington High School has given me the opportunity to get into colleges that might not have been available to me otherwise. Because of the reputation of the school and the intense competition for high standards in learning, Barrington HS stands out on college applications. Additionally, a 4.1 (my GPA) at Barrington will weigh heavier as a consideration than a school with a lower rating. Since I am from a low-income household, I feel especially lucky to have access to all of the resources and quality of education that Barrington offers. I don't feel there is a worst part of my school. The sports program is phenomenal too, and so is the arts/music program. I think if you asked my mom what the worst part is, it's the taxes for the district. I'm ready for my college experience to begin, but I see my High School as a place where I was able to thrive and achieve greatness.

I had a lot of fun here because the teachers were very good and the students were kinda. Some administrators were rude but overall it was nice.

I actually attended this school decades ago and have returned to the town have my two children attend. Each child had very different academic and athletic journeys (meaning: one is a high performing academic and the other is a high performing athlete). Each teacher we have met over the years has bee...

My kids have ADHD and other similar disabilities and the school district did an excellent job balancing their special needs as well as supporting one in gifted education. Both scored vv high test scores ACT and SAT and had full rides in college. What else could a parent ask for?

Barrington High School offers SO many opportunities for children to learn and explore. The teachers are extremely supportive and caring as well. Our two children have had great experiences and I am confident that they will be well prepared for whatever lies ahead. Thank you teachers and staff!

This school is a joke. Barrington High school used to be very solid school. But now it is a total waste land. Administration only cares about students getting good grades to receive more funding. They don’t about us and that’s why test scores have fallen off a Cliff the last few years. The leadershi...
