GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Western has been great for me all of my years in school. All of the teachers seem to care a great deal about their students. Teachers are very understanding about students in extracurricular activities needing to leave class early, get extensions on homework, and other things. One of the things I've liked most about western is the school spirit. The whole community rallies around all of our sports teams and love to support all of the clubs.

I played sports all my life and was very involved in all the extracurriculars at my old high school, and one thing that bothered me the most was the dedication of the coaches.

Teachers at Western High School could definitely improve on how they approach the students, how they treat the different kinds of students, and the level of education.
