As a middle school student, I am going to give an honest review. 1) Some of the teachers are great, but there are a few terrible teachers who lose work, or grade quizzes / tests in a terrible way. 2) We pay $ 30,000 a year, AND BASIS NEVER EVEN GIVES CAFETERIA FOOD FOR FREE, THE FACILITIES ARE TERRIBLE, THE DESKS AND CHAIRS ARE HORRIBLE, AND THE FEILD IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS 3) The administration is completely bias towards younger grades, and NEVER support higher grades in their complaints 4) There are too many tests, we once had 5 tests on a single day, and the toll on the students was tremendous 5) Lockers are horrible, BASIS demand $30 a year from all parents about "The digits on locks do not turn", when they work perfectly fine. Basis places lockers BEHIND THE THATER so the Drama performers get additional obstacles. 6) Overall, Basis is not a good school, they order their school lunches from other companies, and I do not feel prepared for going into high school

I love how BASIS Independent Bellevue challenges my son to get better in all subjects. He has turned into a productive individual by doing his homework and preparations for class without me having to remind him to do so. This is a great environment to challenge your children academically, while at the same time create a fun and welcoming community.

This school offers students rigorous academics and robust extracurricular offerings. They teach students holding their accountable on academic excellence, and challenge students to pursue advanced knowledge. Teachers are responsive to parent and student's questions. Only con is diversity is not such good.
