GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

When I got to college, I was competing against many students from the best prep schools and top public high schools in the country. The preparation I got in Ridge enabled me to be successful at the next level because of the emphasis on analytical thinking and clear writing. Meanwhile, the extracurricular activities at Ridge were excellent - mostly because of teachers who enjoyed working with teenagers and taught or coached at a very high level.

Ridge has a place for anybody and provides numerous opportunities in any given field, leaving it to be a school that fosters growth, competitiveness, and excellence.

Ridge High School is definitely a place that gets their students ready for college with our advanced curriculum and wide range of resources, faculty, and classes. Ridge works hard, but also plays hard, for we have clubs and sports teams that are off winning state championship titles annually. For the future of my high school, though, I would like to see better efforts in promoting diversity through clubs perhaps.

One of the top schools in New Jersey, great opportunities and teachers, in one of the safest towns in America. Highly competitive.

This school has good teaching but doesn't care about your child's wellbeing. Especially when it comes to conflicts with other students. The principle is the least sympathetic person the school has. I recommend not sending your child to this school.

Overrated but a supposed high quality of education. Sports coaching staff were mostly bullies, guidance staff were a joke, lots of "bending the rules" for overachievers, not a strong Special Education program (especially compared to WAMS, there are just too many kids here). Teachers were mostly aloo...

The worst school you could ever send your child to. Do your children away and move far away from the horrible Basking Ridge before it's too late.
