The staff is caring and dedicated to create a positive learning environment. Although the school building is old, the teachers and students create a safe and supportive community.

I have had two children attend this school, both special needs. The staff and admin were well trained, caring, and worked with us for the best for our children. Communication was always quick and reflective of current practices.

Our children went to this school with so much hope. Several years and a lot of bullying later I no longer trusted the principal or many of his staff. All of our children were relieved to no longer attend this school.

Since Mr. Berkowitz took over as principal at Fisher-Mitchell, things have radically improved. He genuinely cares about the students and it shows in how he works one-on-one with them. He's a terrific leader, too - the teaching staff seems so engaged, compared to how things were before Mr. B arrived....
