GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best parts of the experience are the people I have met there. I made good friends at this school and always feel comfortable attending. The worst part of CHS is the hallway traffic. The school feels very overcrowded and I feel substantial changes are not being made.

Some of the greatest moments are the Friday night football games. It's always a thrill sitting in the stands cheering with the rest of the crowd. Prom is always magnificent, Homecoming is wonderful, and lunch is always pretty good. Especially Nacho day.

The best part about Central High School are the teachers. Without them, Central High School would not have been able to offer half of the extra-curriculars and even some of the core classes they did. I was in my school's band and jazz band and I looked forward to seeing those teachers every day and learning all that I could from them. My jazz band director not only taught me all about music and helped me learn how to create my own music, but also taught me a lot about life itself. He gave me advice that I still use to this day. Without the teachers at Central High School, I would most certainly not be the person I am today.
