My experience at Appling County High School was not as great as it could have been. Coming from a small town majority of the time the system and teachers will have hand-picked favorites that they favor more. I had a great education even though i wasn't always the favorite and I do believe that they should give all students the same amount of care and motivation. Some kids if they see that their teacher have favorites they will back away and choose to disobey. So many kids will fall through the cracks because they don't feel like anyone cares about them. I simply did not because i always seek better opportunities for myself but some kids need an extra push. Overall my experience with the academics I always had what I needed because I was a "honors" kid and they seem to care more about the honors kids because everyone else in their mind is not worthy of help.

The teachers here are so helpful, and work long hours to make each and every student is prepared. They run various clubs, as well as offer tutoring for those who need it.
