Bryden Elementary School is in Beachwood, Ohio, just east of Richmond Road. Home of the Beachwood Bison, the school serves kindergarten through second grade. It currently has 320 students enrolled with a student-to-teacher ratio of 12-to-1.
Bryden Elementary School’s mission is to provide an environment that will nurture the growth of every student. The school offers a wide range of academic and behavioral support systems, including an intervention assistance team as well as a gifted program. Bryden Elementary School teaches standard mathematics using the Eureka Math program and encourages scientific curiosity with a mixture of hands-on lessons and scientific-thinking exercises.
Its Unified Arts Block includes visual arts, general music, physical education, technology and guidance classes. To build literacy, the school places children in small instructional reading groups. After the bell rings, kids can participate in Apollo After School, an enrichment program that enhances self-confidence and promotes creative expression. The program builds self-confidence through the child's choice of science and math activities, arts and crafts, fitness activities, book clubs, board game clubs, Lego-building and engineering clubs.
Regardless of whether it is before, during or after school hours, students and guests at Bryden Elementary School feel safe and comfortable. School staff places the growth of its students over all else and curates this atmosphere daily through teamwork and cooperation.
