GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

When I went to Troy Howard, you either conformed, or were pushed out of any positive social interaction. As with many middle schoolers, I had an intense identity crisis, and made lots of poor decisions regarding my friends, my family, and my mental health. I wish I had had access to some kind of mentorship or help... A guidance counselor didn't do it for me. The one time I went to see her, I was scared because my friends told me they were going to get skinny by throwing up whatever they ate... I admitted I was scared that it would happen to me, so she called my parents and told them I had an eating disorder. Nice.
