I think that Newport High School does a really good job preparing students academically for college but not so well in terms of the school spirit and the community. The students feel more focused on academics, AP courses, etc. rather than also on the assemblies or showing spirit and pride.

It is a good school overall, the students there strive for the best academics and we have healthy competitions in our academics and our sports, the teahers there mostly want to teach and want us to learn.
