Enjoyed my high school education and extracurricular activities. I wish we had more AP classes offered.

They focus too much on their incoming freshman and not enough on their juniors and seniors prepping for college. I found that I didn't get much support with applying, essays, scholarships or really anything with my college search.

Squalicum highschool is one of three school in bellingham and by far one of the best schools regarding academics. The teachers push you and expect excellence. They also offer a wide range of advance AP classes to help with college readiness. Another way the school helps prepare it's college-bound students is with morning essay time. Seniors are given the chance to work with the english teachers and guidance counselors to work on their college application essays. However the guidance counselors seem to be solely focused on this one topic. I appreciate the dedication they put into their students futures but mental health and emotional maturity development aren't priorities at Squalicum.

I really enjoyed my time at Squalicum. There was a big emphasis on connection with peers. Many events relating to school spirit (that were actually fun). Almost every teacher I had was wonderful, I felt that the support from both teachers and counselors made it easy to succeed in the squalicum high...

I've gone to many different schools. Of all of them, the drug problem in Squalicum is second only to Shuksan. There's even gang activity and occasional violence among students. The learning programs are .. subpar. Overall, I would say that this school is not worth your trouble, and you would be much...

Over all, I’d say Squalicum is a good school. Judging by how MY kids performed there, and are performing now. The academics are good and I’ve seen great results. I do have a questionable parenting style, and have been called a Tiger mom - it was never an option for my kids to do poorly in school and...
