Being in High Point High School is one of the hardest things a student can go through since there is so much adversity and many problems within the school that force you to adapt

I would like to see my High school change the way they treat their students because often times when I walk in the hallways I can hear the security guards calling students names and saying curse words to them and I don't think thats okay. I believe everyone should be shown respect no matter the age. Also many students feel neglected and not safe due to the no seriousness in our security guards. Another thing I believe should change is the grading system. I as a senior can advocate that we should be getting more than three assignments a week from one class. The teachers are required to but in only two grades per week and some are doing way too much assignments to where Im scared that im going to fail if I get off track.

High point has been a great experience for me since Ive been able to take advantage of the amazing resources they have for college readiness. Ive met amazing teachers who have made me a better and stronger student through the hard academics they offered me.

This school is underrated. Unlike Old Mill High School, it's not that dangerous. Staff are good

I graduated from high point in 2014 and this school really is not bad, it has a bad reputation but it really isn't what it seems. The teachers are willing to help you if you need if you just need to have motivation and know what you're going to school for with that being said many students there are...
