GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At first I really hated school, but as freshman and sophomore year passed I started to appreciate my school. I had so many opportunities presented to me at bethel, I may not have taken all of them but that is my own fault. The teachers their all feel very genuine and seem to genuinely care about not only my education, but also my mental health and would make adjustments for me based off how I was feeling. The only thing I hated about bethel was our food, it was horrible and that is the one thing I would love to see a change in.

I would like to see more diversity in the school. I would also like to see more opportunities for those in the STEM careers.

The district hired a new superintendent a few years ago and is realizing its full potential. The high school just won a National Blue Ribbon and they are building a new elementary center. The district offers more than surrounding districts in terms of having a 9 period day, dozens of electives, a ro...

Having sent one child all the way through this school and with two additional students currently attending, I have been very pleased with the instructional rigor, class offerings, innovative projects, and wide extracurriculars, particularly in the music and drama departments. All of my children also...

As far as the high school is concerned, it is an embarrassment, especially compared to neighboring top-notch public schools like Upper Saint Clair and Mount Lebanon. The school district does not give students opportunities to succeed, and only a few of the teachers truly care about the students. It...

The BP school board mistakenly thinks we are an affluent district, like Upper St. Clair. They are number one, as far as standings go. Bethel is way down on the list, sometimes just barely making AYP. Too much time and money is devoted to SPORTS, and now THEATRE. This is a school with academics, as t...
