I enjoyed my time at BFA but decided to do a tech center my last two years since I wasn't feeling particularly challenged in the areas I was interested in. There also wasn't a bunch of classes that supported what I wanted to study in college.

The teachers and staff are wonderful. They offer a great curriculum and a more progressive approach to teaching. I would have rated it four stars but they way they deal with disiplin, bullying, harassment, and things related to that is horrendous especially in the middle school.

BFA is the worst school for children with medical issues. My daughter has an autoimmune condition where she has absences from school. It took OVER a year of me providing my daughters medical records for the school to put her on a 504 medical program... However, by that time she was too far behind because of the schools disregard for her asking for help took over a YEAR to be addressed... due to that... she fell to far behind to catch up. In addition, some of her teachers DID NOT abide by the conditions of the 504 program, which was supposed to modify her assignments to enable her to catch up.

The middle school structure and staff have offered my two students solid support and connection. My students have grown academically and socially, and I always have quick collaboration from teachers/administrators around any concerns. I believe student success hinges not on school resources alone, b...

I am very disappointed with the whole middle school experience here at BFA. Having previously attended a school with much stronger academics, the difference for my child in expectations, leadership, and challenge is stark. There is not even a language offered until grade 8, and then it's a "special"...
