Part of the Berea City School District, Big Creek Elementary School is located in Middleburg Heights between Big Creek Parkway and Pearl Road. It offers education for pre-k up until fourth grade, where the students then go on to Berea–Midpark Middle School.
When it comes to academics, students at Big Creek Elementary score above the state average in both math and reading. Boasting two soccer fields, a baseball field, a tennis and basketball court, and a large playground, Big Creek Elementary has plenty of outdoor amenities for your child to enjoy. The school also has a significant PTA presence that hosts events throughout the school year for both students and their parents. Big Creek Elementary’s PTA was even given a School of Excellence award in August 2019, a recognized honor from the National PTA board.
Music plays a big role for the students. Parents can enjoy two concerts put on by their children, one in the winter and one again in the spring.

Have 2 children who go here. Total of three years in so far. Very pleased all around. They care, they listen. My kids love the school and teachers. One of my kids do have a I.E.P. I feel they truly do care about it. They work very hard with her.

The teachers care about the kids. They try to add gifted (each class) when the program has been cut in funding.

Wonderful school. My children love going every morning. Great teachers and staff! Our PTA is full of loving parents who give every available moment they have to help make the school the best it can be for the students and staff!

We moved here late in January. Everyone at the school accepted my son with open arms.With the help of his teacher Mrs. Lazarus he didn't miss a beat. And has excelled in every subject in his class. Looking forward to many more years of their GREAT teachers and classes!!!!
