GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My best experience coming here from a smaller school was the opportunities. Not a lot of opportunities based on merit.

Throughout my entire four years at this high school, I have had maybe 5 days where I actually enjoyed it. I don't expect any other high school to have anything better though. The only plus is that I have good friends from the school.

As a Schools of Choice student, I am aware that Big Rapids High School is better than the other schools in the area. I am very appreciative of how good our fine arts programs are and I feel ready for college because of the dual enrollment opportunities. However, the social environment is not very good and I feel that some teachers do not put enough effort into their lessons.

Going to this school every day makes me so nervous because you never know when someone’s gonna spread the next rumor about you.

With all of that said they do have some sta...

I have one graduate and two current high school students at BRHS. While no school is perfect, BRHS gets a lot of things right. Adults care about kids...even when kids think otherwise. My kids are challenged by the classes offered at BRHS...and they have a lot to offer (great band, choir, theatre, an...

See this school has a lot of teachers that do not care enough about students to be teaching especially in the virtual school. If they were the type of school they say they are, they would actually answer emails and grade things in proper time instead of marking it late. Teachers and the entire schoo...
