GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

There are a lot of people to connect with, in and out of extracurricular activities. I have found a small group of people that I can be with at all times if I wanted to. I really enjoy the unity within the school, especially between students and their favorite teachers. I know that I at least have a couple of teachers that I can go to for support in and out of school. I would change the amount of people at our school if I could. The amount can be really suffocating at times, causing a variety of issues. Overall I'm glad to have people I can reach out to during my high school years.

Pros of BMHS: The faculty has some of the kindest individuals I've ever met. It's apparent that they care for all students, even if some might get a bad reputation because they teach a hard class. However, they're not soft on you either. They really want to see you succeed so they'll give you tough love. The same goes for extracurriculars such as my Model UN club. Cons of BMHS: It's overcrowded since there is a huge portion of the student population being eighth graders. It probably goes over the recommended capacity for the cafeteria and the gym every morning, and people will horse around a lot. Additionally, many students intentionally trash the school, especially in the cafeteria and bathrooms. As for why they do this, I don't know. But there hasn't been adequate punishment for this sort of behaviour.

Billerica Memorial High School has been the best school I have ever attended. I am currently going into senior year and have been a student since eight grade when my class got moved up to the new school. I have had reliable teachers my entire journey who give inspiring advice as a student and a teenager. I met my best friend at this school and became an honors student through the education provided. There have been numerous teachers who appear to have a difficult course but push students to continue. Billerica Memorial High School has helped me situate my current life and my hopes for the future along with having a memorable high school life.

My oldest is Autistic, Neuropsych that we personally paid for to find out what was going on and help the school. Her IEP made ZERO sense because they refused to put reason for iep Autism with Selective Mutism, I spent 4 years explaining to them why telling her she needs to talk DOESN'T WORK. Makes i...

Definitely recommend going here, it's great for all people, with a bunch of clubs and sports. The teachers are very helpful and overall great with their teaching methods and skills. They actually care about their students and their well-being, unlike some other schools I've been to. The architecture...
