The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, Daniel Boone gets a bad reputation but in reality is not that bad. With the ~20% of the student population under the poverty, our school at face value is a more poor school. After getting to know the student population, there are clear caring teachers, okay sports, and an amazing music program.

For the first two years, I went to this school full time. This was during Covid and I absolutely could not focus while learning online. The school itself is great, I love the teachers and administration. It's usually clean and the activities are fun. The last two years I only went for half a day every day, because I go to a trade school the other half. My counselor introduced me to this opportunity. I rate this school an 8/10

Overall as long as you're in higher level classes the classes are pretty fun and you learn a good amount, however I notice that the academic level classes both the teachers and students care a lot less. There are definitely a few amazing teachers too that really care about students too.
This high school is not a great place for students of color. A good percentage of the student body use N word on a daily basis. Post racist views on their social media accounts and micro aggression is a constant issue. No help from the school staff. Absolutely no help from the head principal.
I've graduated from Boone, and I had an amazing time there, it's obvious that a majority of the teachers care deeply for their students. However, as much as I love it there, Boone did have a few problems. The principal of the high school, The Dark Knight, could really learn how to be more effective a...
My experience with faculty at Daniel Boone HS has been very well below what a parent should expect. I've called, emailed, left messages. Only to be ignored or dismissed by teachers and the assistant principal. My child is almost done with the DBSD. With zero assistance from the "district", my child...
