When I first came to Boone I was scared. Quickly I learned that there are a lot of great people here. I made really great friends and found my community. I have had very good teachers who I still pop in to visit from time to time. A lot of the staff are really nice. I've had some fun conversations with security guards or the cafeteria staff. This year there have been more clubs starting to form and more participation in older clubs which is really nice to see. There will always be some staff who aren't as nice or some students who can be rude, but it's all about who you surround yourself with.

Overall as long as you're in higher level classes the classes are pretty fun and you learn a good amount, however I notice that the academic level classes both the teachers and students care a lot less. There are definitely a few amazing teachers too that really care about students too.

My experience throughout my years at Daniel Boone Area High School has prepared me for the next step in my education. Many of my peers, including me, have been part of clubs and organizations. The resources provided at Daniel Boone, have given me the opportunity to explore careers and colleges. Something I would like to see change, is the growth of volunteering, and promoting it to students to serve the community.

This high school is not a great place for students of color. A good percentage of the student body use N word on a daily basis. Post racist views on their social media accounts and micro aggression is a constant issue. No help from the school staff. Absolutely no help from the head principal.

I've graduated from Boone, and I had an amazing time there, it's obvious that a majority of the teachers care deeply for their students. However, as much as I love it there, Boone did have a few problems. The principal of the high school, The Dark Knight, could really learn how to be more effective a...

My experience with faculty at Daniel Boone HS has been very well below what a parent should expect. I've called, emailed, left messages. Only to be ignored or dismissed by teachers and the assistant principal. My child is almost done with the DBSD. With zero assistance from the "district", my child...
