Briarwood Christian School is a private school in Birmingham, Alabama at 2204 Briarwood Way. Eight miles from Vestavia Hills, its Lower School on the North Campus, which serves students, kindergarten through sixth grade, is located at 2204 Briarwood Way. The Upper School on the South Campus at 6255 Cahaba Valley Road serves 7th through 12th grade students. The sprawling campus enrolls nearly 1,700 students, and its curriculum is based on several disciplines, with an emphasis on the Christian faith.
Implementing 21st century technology and economics into an extensive academic program that includes fine arts and sports, Briarwood is also promotes honoring the country’s veterans and embarking on mission trips. The school’s athletics programs are massive, as are its sports fields. Students can choose from 17 different sports. Their sports science program teaches a specific movement range program, education in nutrition and adhering to long-term fitness, from elementary to high school. Briarwood’s sports science program has been a model for other school systems.
Clubs and activities are plentiful. Author and poetry clubs, climbing, fishing, debate, cycling and environmental clubs are just a few of many available. One hundred percent of the Briarwood students go on to college or serve in the military upon graduation.
The mission of the school is to lead students to becoming responsible stewards with compassion and inspiration to others as their guiding principles. As a Christ-centered school, the faculty, staff and students strive to accomplish those goals every day and beyond their academic career.

Our family moved to Briarwood a year ago and our transition could not have been any better. My child is loved and known by the caring teachers. I am amazed by the high level of qualification of the teachers. The schools seems to be holding true to its mission and this is evident through our experience and what we read in the exceptional communication. The athletics program is impressive and the work being done with Sport Science shows the level of expertise and attention to detail.

great school for raising close minded biggots. Education here is sub par. I was not prepared for college upon graduation. The school is founded in racism.. stay away unless your'e a white, straight, wealthy, christian athlete.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to attend BCS. All of my siblings attended BCS, we loved it. They offered all types of sports if your are into that. I played football the coaches are great. The bar is set high for academic achievement. I am very thankful for my time at BCS.
