GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Huffman High is not for the faint of heart. The school doesn't have much good going for it. Huffman cares only for it's sport department, not caring for anything else. The most care the school gives to another department would be the band but it still isn't good. Apart from this the teachers do give their all with the little they are given. I would first like to see a focus more on the education and way of teaching plus having a full staff. Then I'd like to see more student talk in helping the school better itself.

Huffman High is an ok school. The teacher should try and seem like they care a little bit more than do but overall it's good. We also have real programs to choose from so you don't have to worry about them not having it.

When I graduated middle school going in to high school I was kind of scared, excited, and nervous at the same time. When I finally started high school I think I did a good job for the most part. We were in school for most of the year but COVID hit and we had to be on virtual for the remainder of the year. My sophomore year was a good year even though COVID happened most of us was in the house not really going anywhere families lost love ones but thank good I didn't loose anyone at the time, and half of us were on virtual and some were going to school I still feel like it was a year to remember. My junior year was a pretty chill year everything was going good in school but I did have a death in the family but all is well. My senior year was probably my favorite year first because it was my last year and second it's because I had fun being with my friends and family. I was in the nursing program at my school so we where going to clinicals at uab which was fun and I passed my CPCT test.

These numbers are shameful and a community that produces such, should be embarrassed. These numbers are a product of a failing society and a degenerate culture, in the black community.. everyone who is apart of this has failed…

I am a parent and I am pleased with my son's progress at this school. The curriculum is good and the teachers care and communicate with the parents in a timely way. I appreciate the faculty and staff.
