It's good but could be better. My school needs to work on communicating with students and parents. We found out our prom date was changed 3 days before prom.

I have loved being a student at OMHS for the past 4 years, the teachers are amazing and genuinely dedicated to teaching and bettering their students. The principle came to the school at the same time as my grade, and it has been nice to watch him grow as a principle alongside his students.

Oak Mountain offers a good variety of honors and AP classes with teachers who prepare students for college. They could do better with some of the coach-teachers who sometimes have lesser class room performances. The arts programs are amazing and always done with high quality and school spirit is very high especially during performances. They could offer more specialized classes like woodworking or more language options.

I would rate this school as top notch! I have multiple children in this school system and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

I hated oak mountain! The faculty is rude, disrespectful, they pick favoritism, ridiculous with dress code and punishment. They act like you've committed a crime if you even wonder the halls during class.acedmic is very tough, too much homework, used to stay up until 1 in the morning every night doi...

The only thing that makes this school bearable are my friends and a few teachers. The administration is ridiculous and have always seemed biased to me... Really, the Shelby County Board of Education is riduculous. Alternative school for using a cell phone 3 times? That's logical. A student likes to...
