GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a very nice school with very good teachers and admin. I think that something i would like to see be changed is the way we fundraise.

Hello My name is Arianna Soldevilla I have attended Oak Mountain High School for 4 years. I would say the best part about Oak Mountain was its Teachers. Al of the teachers that I have had around the school have always helped me with problems or questions I didn't understand and were very nice about it. I would say my worst experience from this school would have to be the coaches of sports. Most of the coaches are mean and don't know how to work with kids.

Best part is the schools willingness to help students succeed in school. The school provides many resources to help people do well no matter the circumstances. The worst part is probably not involving parents that much in certain situations but that's not really a huge problem. One thing I would change is to have more days to help students see real world jobs from subjects learned in school.

I would rate this school as top notch! I have multiple children in this school system and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

I hated oak mountain! The faculty is rude, disrespectful, they pick favoritism, ridiculous with dress code and punishment. They act like you've committed a crime if you even wonder the halls during class.acedmic is very tough, too much homework, used to stay up until 1 in the morning every night doi...

The only thing that makes this school bearable are my friends and a few teachers. The administration is ridiculous and have always seemed biased to me... Really, the Shelby County Board of Education is riduculous. Alternative school for using a cell phone 3 times? That's logical. A student likes to...
