GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had a generally good experience at BHS, but I would like to see better inclusion and diversity as well as better communication with students.

One of the best parts of Blacksburg High School is the selection of AP and DE, honors, and regular classes. Another great part is the school lunch, it is not as bad as people say. I would like to see the college preparation programs change, as many students don't know what major to go into, or which colleges are optimal, and many wait until it's too late to apply for things like scholarships.

It's a nice school with nice people but it isn't perfect. Most teachers are great but there are a couple bad apples. Overall I feel this school has helped me be ready for my future.
