While attending GEMS, I did not have a consistent math teacher. If given work, I was completing work made for students in the 8th grade, making it hard to advance to the 9th-grade level. I am a visual learner, therefore I found it challenging to learn virtually when Covid came around. I don't blame GEMS for this unfortunate experience, but I wish I had more support from the GEMS teachers during this time. I experienced racism for the first time. My science teacher used a racial slur to try and defend herself in a situation she claimed made her uncomfortable. After the incident, I felt unheard by the GEMS administration. While a senior, I did not feel prepared to take the following steps to start my life as an adult. The lack of teachers, communication, and strict uniform rules made it difficult to enjoy my senior year. If it's one thing GEMS has taught me, I would say as long as you believe in your goals, you can accomplish them with or without help.

The teachers build incredible relationships with the students. Trips around the world are so eye opening and amazing as well as quite educational.

The majority of teachers there are quite unprofessional at times. The majority of teachers there are quite unprofessional at times.I feel that guidence has failed me in college readiness and I feel cheated. Some teachers who just don't care and it shows in the class room. The security guard is straight up something up.Why do we even have one if all they're going to do is meddle in teen drama,so there job poorly, and just be vexing.
