GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall Blooming Grove has been good to me, the teachers are wonderful and the safety is top notch. It's just the food that I would really change..

My Experience with Blooming Grove High School is bitter sweet. I have loved going to a small school, and Blooming Grove HS has good organizations that help you in life, but when it comes to getting your student ready for college I think that is something the HS fails at. That may not be the schools fault because we are a small town, but I don't really feel prepared for college, and again that's probably because I have lived in a small town and am used to the small school luxurious. Blooming Grove HS has given me great opportunities at being active and involved in everything so that really has helped me qualify for some Scholarships, and has made me a good leader. I am very grateful for Blooming Grove HS and the opportunities it has given me and how it was built me up.

As a student who has only been at Blooming Grove for 2 years I have noticed some things. The bathrooms could use some TLC. Some of the stalls do not lock but they bathrooms themselves are nice. The parking lot could use some help especially for students who are injured. It is very hard to walk across the gravel parking lot while injured. The students and faculty have become like a family for me. It has a very welcoming environment and is inclusive. I would however love to see more extracurricular opportunities. As a small school there is not many options.
