The Blossomwood neighborhood in the central part of Huntsville is one of the most desirable in the city. Strong parental involvement helped make Blossomwood Elementary a Lighthouse School from the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence program.
Approximately 700 students attend the pre-K through sixth-grade school, which has a low student-to-teacher ratio of 17-to-1, making it one of the lowest ratios in the Huntsville City Schools district. In a tradition that started more than 50 years ago, Blossomwood Elementary tests better in reading and math than comparable schools across Alabama. At least three-quarters of the teachers have a minimum of three years of experience.
In addition to the standard academic offerings, students can take part in gifted programs, band, a racing team, robotics, chess and more.

Have had 3 children at Blossomwood and absolutely LOVE IT! We've had an amazing experience in the 6 years we've been with the school. The campus is beautiful, excellent staff and curriculum. I'm so grateful that my kids have had the opportunity to experience this school.

We moved to Blossomwood this year and the kids adjusted quickly. The curriculum is a tad harder than the private school we transferred from, but they caught up and excelled quickly.
