I like Okatie elementary. Had some issues with students and teacher this year and the administration was responsive and helpful in resolving the situation. Wish they provide more extra curriculum activities for the kids, like theater, cooking, wood shop, things for them to learn what they like.

The principal of this school, Tracy Lanese, discriminates. She is a horrible administrator. SC is ranked 42nd in public education and Okatie Elementary does not rank well at all among other SC public elementary schools. I would highly recommend avoiding this school and school district at all costs....
