GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's been good so far, but it is very academically focused. There is a lot of homework and not much time for other activities.

I would like to see more science coursing having to do with pre-med or nursing, like anatomy classes and other like that.

The academics at Boston Latin School are difficult, but most of the teachers will make sure you don't fail. However, there are some teachers that do not teach well, and you may end up teaching yourself the material outside of class. There are also a lot of clubs, and it is easy to start a new club if nothing interests you.

The level of learning at this school is amazing. Students are pushed to be their best academically. There are also so many opportunities available for students that give them experiences no other school offers. My only complaint is that I wish they did more typical high school events like homecoming...

This school does provide a rigorous academic experience. However, it is not a supportive environment for students. It discourages parent involvement. The school has a culture of ableism. It does not support students with disabilities nor regularly provide their due accommodations. The truth is they...

Love the clowns, hate the circus. This institution is like a certifying body for surviving a gauntlet rather than any kind of quality academic experience. If you are already an impressive student and you can make it through 6 stressful and joyless years of teachers and staff who are completely lackin...
