Lynnwood High School has a terrible reputation within the area, but personally I don't understand that. The worst parts of my high school experience haven't had to do with the school itself, but rather the social situations I was in. I've had plenty of enjoyable moments; doing sports, in classes, but especially within the music department. Our music department is known for its community service and dedication to maintaining a culture of excellence and fun. Some of the best people I've met were in music and it truly has made a massive difference in my life. My major issue with the school is something that probably applies to all high schools, and that's how a fair amount of people seem to not care. The school is split, with half working very hard to succeed and half vaping in the bathroom during class. Sometimes, I just need to use the facilities and I don't want to deal with people in the restroom.

Lynnwood High School has been a place where I've grown as a student and a person. The sense of community and togetherness on campus made me feel supported and encouraged to get involved in different activities, like AVID and managing the basketball team. I'm grateful for the people and experiences that helped me build confidence and feel connected.
