Jefferson High is a rural school with only 250 students. It has been growing in recent years. Although we are rural we have many great clubs and sports through the school, although many are lacking. The music and arts departments often lack in funding. Participation in these activities isn't low, so it is hard to maintain them with a lack of support.

I would like to see more academic focus and less focus on sports. The focus on sports overtakes all the focus on academics. They do have a literacy grant, however, the academics aren't really that impressive to me.

Jefferson high school is a poor school that has it perks including the 4 day school week but it lacks on many important categories including education, bullying, sports, and many other aspects of the school itself. The biggest problem hands down is the administration, the worst of them being the secretary. I would not recommend this school.
