GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best experiences have been how much they prepared me to enter into a degree for elementary education. I have had the opportunity to obtain 1800 hours of in person learning at the elementary school while obtaining my child development certification. The worst parts have been some of the bullying, restricted access to restrooms due to students who disrespect and vape in the bathrooms. The food could be better too.

Good academics. Plenty of opportunities for AP and college in the high school classes. Higher classes have a good teacher involvement.

Overall, BAHS has given me so many opportunities. If there is one thing I would change, it would be the bathrooms. There is always a group of girls in the bathroom who judge anyone who walks in to actually use the bathroom. Otherwise, I am so thankful for all the aspects and high school experience that BAHS has given me.

The college readiness data and AP data shown here is from 2016-18. It’s outdated. The number of their students taking AP and college classes in high school has gone up significantly. Great school with great opportunities for students.

For students and parents who want the best for their kids, there are so many great opportunities. The schools works really hard to build character with those students who don’t get...

We can’t say enough about the teachers and administrators here. They work incredibly hard with the struggling students and do a great job with classes that really prepare students to do well in college and get jobs. During the pandemic they really went above and beyond!

Compared to any other high school between State College and Erie, this is by far the best high school. The opportunities here for students ranging from AP classes and college classes to VoTech are outstanding. The school is clean, well maintained. Great teachers and administrators. 95% of the studen...
