The schools programs vary heavily in whether they are vocational or academic. Some programs like Mechatronics or the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences function like magnet schools. While most other shops are standard vocations. The school is well-funded and has many resources available for students regardless of. program and is in the process of expanding.

I think this is a great school that really lives up to its mission of preparing students for college, career, and beyond. The best part is the amazing academics and readiness for anything students want to go into with specialized programs. The worst part in my opinion is the lack of music and arts departments, which is due to the entire focus being on academics or trade skills. I would like to see change in this by adding a music department.

My son transferred here in his sophomore year after spending his freshman year at HHS. The environment is much more personal and friendly, with a healthy discipline that reduces the cliques and meanness found in larger schools. His attitude towards school has improved dramatically.
