The students are arrogant and rude. There are several amazing teachers but the rest favor those with certain last names. The arts get absolutely no say and if it's not basketball, wrestling, or football, it doesn't matter

Something that I like about West Hancock is that most of the teachers try their hardest to help all of the students succeed. If I am struggling in a class, I know that I can go ask for help and they will help. Something that could be improved is the learning environment. We need more quiet areas where we can truly focus on our academics.

After arriving to the new school, most of the students were willing to engage with me and not make me feel like an outsider. I got the opportunity to become involved within the school and to enjoy the small town feeling of belonging to a community.

Too much emphasis on sports. Intellectual students not valued. Music department is deplorable. Thank goodness for a fine public library in the community.
