Arrowhead Elementary School is located near downtown Broken Arrow and has been operating since 1970. The school serves a student body of around 375 students, kindergarten through fifth grade, with a student-teacher ratio of 16:1. The building was most recently renovated in 2012, creating a great facility for students and teachers. Following the mantra of all Broken Arrow Public Schools, “One hundred percent literacy, engagement, graduation,” Arrowhead focuses on providing students opportunities both inside and outside the classroom so they can develop into successful members of their communities. At Arrowhead at least thirty percent of students are proficient in math, and at least twenty percent are proficient in reading. Every year, there is a focus on improving overall test scores on a state and national level. This plan involves not only the student, but a collaboration between students, teachers, and parents. Students can participate in a number of activities outside of their normal classes including choir, robotics, chess club, Kids for Christ, safety patrol, yearbook club, and Tiger Challenge Club; which is a group of students, hand selected by their teachers, that exude kindness and leadership.

The school leadership fails to concern itself with the success of its students. If your child is differently abled, the 'teachers' will not advocate for him or her. In fact, they will encourage and provoke poor social behaviors. Your young person cannot think independently or require any one-on-one...

This school felt like a family. I felt supported by my grade level team. There were great activities throughout the year that made teaching a blast.
