As a PA member and a Parent, I've seen firsthand the positive impact I.S. 229 has on its scholars and community. The school encourages parental involvement and values student achievement, making it a strong foundation for academic and personal growth.

Since the new administration taking over the school in 2021, IS 229 has transformed into an outstanding Middle School serving the Bronx. The principal believes in providing his students with opportunities typically unavailable to schools serving low-income communities. The school has many elective c...

I attended this school throughout my sixth and seventh grade years.I didn't get to finish my eighth because I had to transfer. Based on the reviews I've seen I can clearly tell those are the parents that deny their child is being disruptive. The ones that know their daughter or son isn't trying, bec...
